About Us

Barkers, Inc., The Fireplace Shop, is a full service fireplace and stove shop and masonry material yard. We serve a 50 mile radius in East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio with fireplace and stove sales and installations and brick and stone.

We are located six blocks north of the downtown area of Richmond, IN., just east of the North Ninth Street Overpass (U.S. 27). Coming into Richmond on I70 , take exit 151 (U.S. 27) and come 2.2 miles south.

Our store is open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm, and Friday evenings until 8pm year 'round.

Since established by David and Barbara Barker in 1965, our goals have been:

1. to provide quality products and services for our customers.

2. to provide a safe, healthy and stable work environment for our employees.

3. to make enough money to do 1 & 2.
